When I was 16, I won $300 from a local radio station contest. As soon as I received the money I asked my dad to help me buy stock in a local company. Then, he and I invested together until his death in 2009. I have always had a passion for finances and logical, practical solutions, so in 2007 when my first broker/dealer called while I was busy being a stay-at-home mom I jumped at the opportunity. It was thrilling to be able to help people understand and use complex ideas to reach their goals. Now, 16 years later, having built incredible relationships and grown my practice, I am excited about Benestar Financial where I can further customize and enhance the services I provide for my clients.
My time as a financial advisor has taught me to listen well to concerns and dreams specific to each person I work with. Forming a relationship with my clients serves them well in times of uncertainty and stress. I am proud to partner with my clients in good times and tough times. Having someone to rely on helps my clients stay the course, focus on the long-term goals, and feel confident amidst the constant storms of scary headlines.
I am a mother to three creative, kind children. They are 17, 16, and 8. Together, we travel and explore our own state as well as more distant locales. As a family, we hike, read, cook, kayak, and find adventure wherever possible. This year we have season passes to the ski hill and are enjoying the thrill of the hill as often as we are able. I grew up in Merrill, WI then spent 20 years in the Northwoods. In 2021, I decided it was time to come home and we relocated to Wausau. We are very happy in our new home and community. My own favorite pastimes are reading, traveling, hiking, and trying new restaurants. I love to say, “Yes!” to opportunities for fun and new experiences.
I am proud to be a local financial advisor, with local roots, and local relationships.
